This privacy policy (the “Policy”) describes how we collect, protect, use and share information gathered about your use of our services (the “Services”), including sensors, mobile and web applications. Your use of the Services represents your implied consent for the collection, use, and disclosure of any information that you provide to us, or that we gather from you, through your use of the Services or otherwise, in accordance with the terms of this Policy.
What Personal Information does Home Except Inc. collect and how is it used?
The only personal information collected by Home Except Inc. is the mobile phone number of the person paying for the Services (“Subscriber”) and authorized by the Subscriber (“Guests”). For people using a space (“Occupant”) we collect anonymous sensor data on motion patterns, humidity and air quality. Sensor data is processed to provide anonymous insights and notifications about the usage of a home, office, public or storage space.
Home Except Inc. does not collect information about names, addresses, locations, or anything identifying an individual. This information is only known to the Subscriber and their authorized Guests. It is the Subscriber's responsibly to obtain the Occupant's permission to have the Services in their space.

In order to prevent unauthorized access to your personal information, and to ensure your personal information is used and disclosed only pursuant to this Policy, Home Except Inc. uses best in class technology from Microsoft Azure and end to end encryption.

Home Except Inc. will not collect information indiscriminately and will limit collection of information to that which is reasonable and necessary for the above purposes. We will also collect information as is otherwise authorized by law.
Limits on Using, Disclosing and Retaining Personal Information
Home Except Inc. will only use and disclose your personal information for the purposes set out above and as authorized by law. When your personal information is to be used for a purpose not previously identified, the new purpose will be disclosed to you prior to such use, and your consent will be sought unless the use is authorized or required by law.
We will destroy, erase or make anonymous documents or other records containing personal information as soon as it is reasonable to assume that the original purpose is no longer being served by retention of the information and retention is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes.We will take due care when destroying personal information so as to prevent unauthorized access to the information.
We may work with other companies to provide services on our behalf, payment processing services and product delivery services. Home Except Inc. may review this Policy to ensure that it is relevant and remains current with changing laws, regulations and technologies, and reserves the right to change this Policy at any time. Our updated Policy will be posted on the Site, and will be current as of the “Last modified date” set out above. However, while the Policy may change, Home Except Inc. will treat your personal information in a manner consistent with the Policy under which it was collected, unless Home Except Inc. has your consent to treat it differently.
